Rubber Coated Fabric Expansion

Traditionally Metflex have coated Nitrile (NR) or Epichlorohydrin (EPDM), onto Polyester fabric using our Spread Coating plant.

Following demand from the marketplace we have successfully developed the ability to very accurately coat Cotton and other fabrics with various rubbers.

Working with companies weaving cloth in the UK and Europe, Metflex is able to source base fabric, which is then coated with rubber using our unique process. Many years ago Metflex looked at Calendering of rubber onto fabric, but chose and alternative route, which gives us a very tight dimensional control on coated fabric thickness.

As well as using fabric in house, Metflex has recently started exporting spread coated fabric to China, as well as supplying the UK domestic market.
