"Fabric free" diaphragms.

We have developed the very first “fabric free” gas meter diaphragm with an American gas meter company using the latest rubber technology available. This is a truly innovative approach to materials design that will take meter performance to the next level by giving:

• Better flex performance
• Improved hysteresis due to lower rolling resistance
• Improved meter registration.

Previous gas meter diaphragms were based on a coated fabric. The fabric contains a warp and a weft and is used to help hold the rubber together. The problem with fabric approach is that the coated fabric will flex differently in different directions. A "fabric free" diaphragm designed by Metflex will flex evenly and consistently in all directions.
