Precision Rubber Components - Rubber Mouldings

Specialist Engineering Components

Although Metflex is world renowned for manufacturing thin section diaphragms for gas and other industries, over the last few years our expertise has been extended to other products. Metflex now supplies products with less than a gramme shot weight to large rubber components weighing almost 30kgs.

This transition has been achieved by developing a range of materials, including butyl, chloroprene, EPDM, Epichlorohydrin, fluorocarbon, fluorosilicone, hnbr, nitrile, natural, SBR and flame retardant rubbers, to fulfill specific exacting requirements for products within the actuator, anti vibration, power generation, marine propulsion, compressors and rail traction industries.

This means that our customers' products can provide a cost-effective technical improvement over their competitors.

Marine, Propulsion, Compressor Industry Rubber ComponentsAs a long established precision rubber manufacturer, Metflex has developed advanced facilities to provide rubber to metal bonding for specialist industries.

The process involves degreasing and phosphating metal inserts prior to bonding. Specialist machinery, developed for Metflex, sprays the treated metals with an agent, which allows rubber to key successfully. The finished product can then be implemented into various other rubber engineering processes that Metflex provide.

Rubber components using butyl, chloroprene, EPDM, Epichlorohydrin, fluorocarbon, fluorosilicone, hnbr, nitrile, natural, SBR and flame retardant rubbersBy combining components into one part rather than have two or three separate components not only results in potential cost savings, but also invariably gives a more consistent and technically superior solution.

Rubber Diaphragms The ability to supply high quality assemblies now opens up huge scope for the development of other industry sectors including gas, water, marine, power generation, aeronautics and automotives industries.

This is such a specialist area of expertise that few companies other than Metflex can offer this service because of the technical nature and the high specification machinery used in the operation.
